If Stackwallet will not install on Windows 11, the cause is almost always a security prompt or a blocked file rather than a broken app. Here is how to get it installed safely.
The official Windows build of Stack Wallet ships as a ZIP archive you extract and run, rather than a signed installer. That means Windows 11 may treat it cautiously: SmartScreen can warn about an unrecognised app, the ZIP can arrive marked as "blocked" because it came from the internet, and some antivirus tools flag new or uncommon downloads. None of these mean the official file is harmful — they are standard precautions you can clear safely once you have confirmed the source.
Delete any copy from an ad or mirror and download the Windows ZIP only from the official GitHub releases. Verify the URL before saving.
Right-click the ZIP, choose Properties, and tick the Unblock checkbox at the bottom if it appears, then click OK.
Extract the entire ZIP to a folder rather than running the app from inside the ZIP preview. Keep all extracted files together.
On first launch, if SmartScreen appears and you have confirmed the official source, choose More info then Run anyway.
If antivirus quarantined the file, and you trust the official source, restore it or add an exception, then launch again. When in doubt, re-download and re-verify first.
